Pumpkin with quince in a citrus marinade
Not the usual combination of food, giving a delicious and flavorful result.

Ingredients

  • Pumpkin

  • Vinegar

    150 мл

  • Sugar

    200 г

  • Salt

Pumpkin flesh cut into cubes with sides of about 1 cm. Quince peel and also cut into possible large.

With lemon and orange to remove the zest and cut it into thin strips. Squeeze of citrus juice.

Prepare marinade: in a saucepan, add sugar, salt, pour vinegar, juice of lemon and orange, put the Bay leaf and spices, dilute with water, put on fire and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.

When the marinade comes to a boil, put into it the zest, lower the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.

Then put in the marinade pumpkin with quince and cook for 10 minutes, from time to time to mix.

Pumpkin with quince hot to put on the jars, allow to cool and put "walk" in the fridge for 5 days. Last year I kept in a plastic container, everything was in order, so that the method of storage is at Your discretion.
