For the dough mix butter and sugar until smooth. Add the flour, baking powder and eggs.
Separately, mix the cherries, lemon zest and crushed almonds.
To connect the batter with cherries. Spoon the mixture into a greased form and bake in the oven for about 40 minutes. Let cool in pan, then put the cake on a plate and serve, place a cherry.
