This cake in my childhood, on all the holiday baked my parents. And for some reason baked always mom and dad together, and most interesting, always night... and I didn't fall asleep, because I knew that when I turned off the mixer in a few minutes you need to run to the kitchen to lick the nozzle of the mixer and bowl of cream. The parents already knew I was waiting and laughed at me... And since my childhood in the 70-80-ies of the last century, the sweets we were not spoiled, then it seemed the height of perfection.

Cooking
First you need to melt the butter and margarine (why both - don't ask, don't know the original recipe). The yolks separated from the proteins, while proteins put into the refrigerator, to get a better whipped. RUB the yolks with sugar, add restofline margarine and butter, hydrated soda, mix well and add flour. Knead the dough.
Whites first whisk until stable peaks, then add gradually the sugar and vanilla. When the mass order has thickened, turn off the mixer and add walnuts, chopped roughly with the nail of the little finger or larger, if you like.
Divide the dough into 3 parts.
The form in which we bake, covered with parchment on a circle shape. I bake in a detachable form diameter 20, although I did it in the pan. Take the first piece of dough and spread it in the form is the first layer (the roll is useless, do it by hand). Spread on it half of protein-peanut mass, then lay the second piece of dough, press it no need, just spread a layer, protein-peanut mass and cover with third piece of dough.
Sent in a preheated 180 degree oven for 40 minutes (my oven atrocious not apply, adapted as it can). When the cake is ready, turn on a dish or plate on which to serve, and leave to cool.
While our cake cools, cook glazes. Milk, sugar, cocoa, bring to a boil, cook for 3-5 minutes, then add the butter, boil for another 2-3 minutes, mix well and remove to cool. This step its not the best when as ran a friend's husband with her son, distracted me from the process. Smashes cake with icing and decorate as desired (as a child he was always decorated with nuts).
