I suggest you try very simple to prepare and very tasty appetizer of wild rice and potatoes. Original and useful it will become ukrasheniem your table in the days of fasting.

Cooking
First cook the rice. To do this in a deep frying pan wok boil water (for 1 Cup rice, 2 cups water) oil (during lent I use rastitelnoe oil and butter other days) and add the rice. Cook with the lid closed on srednjem heat for about an hour. If necessary, you can add water.
Separately boil potatoes and make puree.
Mix cooked rice and mashed potatoes based on 1 stancin ready rice take 1 Cup of finished puree.
Dried apricots and walnuts finely chop and mix with the mixture of rice and potatoes. There also add salt and pepper to taste.
The resulting mixture is moulded balls. Serve warm as a snack.
